Vision

The Quality Assurance Office envisions to become the lead bureau in creating and fostering a culture of quality and excellence in higher education through continuous monitoring and improvement of educational products and services.

Steered by its Vision, the Quality Assurance Office is committed to provide high quality services and support in the areas of program accreditation, institutional assessment, curriculum and instruction, faculty position evaluation, and quality management system.

Quality Policy

We are committed to exceed the needs and expectations of all interested parties by ensuring the delivery of high quality services and support in the areas of program accreditation, institutional assessment, curriculum and instruction, faculty position evaluation, and quality management system through continuous monitoring and improvement towards the fulfillment of statutory and regulatory requirements.

Quality Objectives

Cognizant to the goals set in the Quality Policy, we purport to accomplish the following objectives at the end of Academic Year 2018-2019:

Program Accreditation and Institutional Assessment

  1. revisit the status of all accredited and soon-to-be-accredited academic programs of the University;
  2. assist all concerned units in the preparation and actual conduct of program/institutional accreditation/assessment by both the internal and external accrediting/assessment bodies;
  3. mentor all area chairpersons and area team members as to the requirements of the accrediting/assessment body prior to the preparation of actual documents;
  4. send at least five (5) new and five (5) senior accreditors in capability-building trainings on outcomes-based quality assurance upon the invitation of accrediting agencies;
  5. create a database of documents that can be utilized in the succeeding accreditation and assessment endeavors of the University;

Curriculum and Instruction

  1. collect and review the latest policies, standards, and guidelines (PSGs) for all academic programs offered in the University
  2. facilitate the conduct of in-house capability-building trainings on outcomes-based education, curriculum development, and syllabi-making to be attended by all program chairpersons and curriculum specialists;
  3. review and standardize at least one (1) program curriculum and its course syllabi as prescribed by the education bureaus;
  4. facilitate the conduct of in-house capability-building trainings on teaching strategies, classroom management, and measurement and evaluation to be attended by at three (3) faculty members from each academic unit;
  5. monitor course syllabi implementation of at least five (5) randomly-selected faculty members in one (1) specific academic program;
  6. create a database of course syllabi than can be utilized by the faculty members and students;

Faculty Position Evaluation

  1. ensure that all documents used in the 7th Evaluation Cycle are completely returned to the owners;
  2. provide all concerned teaching personnel a copy of the instrument to be used in the 8th Evaluation Cycle;
  3. mentor all concerned teaching personnel as regards the position classification and compensation scheme for faculty positions in state universities and colleges;
  4. prepare necessary arrangements for the upcoming Call for NBC Cycle 8 Position Classification come 2019;

Quality Management System (QMS)

  1. facilitate four (4) mandatory and three (3) supplemental QMS capability-building trainings;
  2. ensure the absence of major non-compliance to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard and those determined by the University as well as statutory and regulatory agencies during the internal and external quality audits;
  3. conduct semi-annual Internal Quality Audit (IQA) and Management Review (MR) to assist process owners in addressing all identified non-conformities;
  4. determine areas for continual improvement based on the analysis and evaluation of audit findings and outputs; and
  5. obtain a customer satisfaction rating of not less than eighty percent (80%).
